We commissioned Darren to construct a wildlife pond in our garden, on a sloping site involving a stone retaining wall and pond edging in Cotswold stone. The work was carried out quickly and the finished pond looks really good. It is an excellent piece of work which we are very pleased with. At the same time Darren re-laid some loose paving slabs on the patio and made a gently sloping ramp to replace a difficult step. Again the end result is excellent. We have had a very professional service from the DW team at a reasonable price.

We moved here in December last year with a totally dilapidated fence, two lawns that were mostly celandines and clover, and some grand ideas.

Darren ‘got’ what we wanted straight away.  With three enthusiastic and very helpful assistants, he transformed both front and back gardens in ten days – including a six-foot high brick wall.

Nothing was too much trouble and he discussed everything with thoroughly with us as the job went along.

I am not suggesting that the project was cheap, but it was certainly value for money.  We would recommend the firm without hesitation.

Darren and his team have carried out two projects for us, building a pergola and extending the paved patio area. In both cases we were very pleased with the result.

We used Darren and his team to landscape our back garden. The garden originally had a steep bank going up towards the fence, the rest of the garden sloped in varies directions but resulted in a muddy boggy area just off the patio. Not ideal with two dogs running through it all the time. Darren took the time to know exactly what the issues were and then gave us ideas on how to remedy them. The project took less than three weeks, and the team were great, very friendly and professional. The finished product has transformed our garden and we are extremely pleased with the result. The steep bank was replaced with a sleeper wall, the lawn was levelled with a small Cotswold stone wall, the existing patio replaced and extended, and a path constructed from the patio to the deck. We would recommend Darren and the team to anyone who wants a quality product from a professional team.

Service from the first phone call was friendly and efficient; I was informed of progress and any changes or developments of the plan were discussed with me.  The team left the premises tidy every day and the work was completed on time. In the event, the timing was perfect for us: we had more time to get preliminary jobs done and, coming at the end of the snowdrop flowering season, there was minimal damage to the plants; The snowdrops are now in their foliage stage when they are best for transplanting.

1. Darren and his team did a magnificent job in trying (very wet!) circumstances. The job was a mix of tasks, replacing old espalier support poles and tension wires, a new patio paved area and a reworking of an existing paved area as well as laying a new lawn. It’s not a huge garden area, but these changes have made all the difference! They turned up exactly when they said they would and were polite and considerate at all times.  The quality of what they’ve done is great and despite it being a mud bath for a couple of days (unavoidable given the weather!) they left my garden looking immaculate, having tidied up and washed down.  I recommend Darren and his team in a heartbeat.

Darren and his team transformed our front garden to create a parking spur off the drive, and laid a new footpath and a decorative stone wall feature. He also completely transformed the back garden of our newbuild house and laid a large stone terrace and a separate deck/patio. We are very happy with his work and with the results obtained. Having decided I wanted a resin pathway at the front of my house, the difficult bit was getting someone to do it to my satisfaction.

Fortunately I found Darren – he was professional, punctual and approachable to my input in the project. I wanted a top quality job, which as things progressed, I realised that is the only level he, and his team, are prepared to work to.

Weather conditions are critical for the laying of the surface but the forecast was unsettled. I was concerned, unnecessarily, that they may take a chance on the weather to get it finished and so I offered a payment so that it did not need to be rushed. This was appreciated by Darren but rejected – he wanted the job to be done to his satisfaction before the final balance was due.

To sum up – I am delighted with the pathway and how that was achieved by Darren and his team – I thoroughly recommended.
