Darren is a father of two and a loving husband, he is a friendly, honest and down to earth person, his passion for what he does will reflect in your finished projects, and because he is the first person you will meet, as he carries out all the surveys himself, you will know that you are working with a company that has integrity.
Having grown up in Africa he always wanted to work outdoors, so when he left school, he started studying Arboriculture, and worked with trees for many years before moving into the landscaping industry, which was a natural and easy move. When Darren and his wife Kelly moved to the Cotswolds, it was then that Darren Watt Landscaping was born.
His hobbies include golf, cricket and fishing, but being a father of two young kids he finds he has less and less time for his love of sport.
Being a family run business means the world to Darren, he says 'We have a great team of people that share the same values'.
Kelly was born in Zimbabwe and moved to Chipping Norton when she was a young teenager, she then moved to London at 18, where she met Darren, after they went travelling for a year and having lived in London for six years, they decided that the hustle and bustle of London was not for them anymore, so they moved to the Cotswolds where Kelly grew up. For the first 6 years of the company, Kelly worked part time with Darren and had another 9-5 job, as well bringing up a young family.
When Kelly decided to join the business full time, her main aim was to do the running of the office and managing the projects, however she quickly learnt that there was an opportunity to grow the business. Which has been exciting to be part of. She also manages the website and social media, writes the blogs, and manages the accounts.
Kelly's hobbies include reading, writing, travelling and scuba diving all of which seem a distant memory with a busy life of being a mother, wife and running a busy office.
Kelly said, ‘It felt like the right time to dedicate 100% of my time to the business, and I am so excited to be involved in the business growth and being more involved in the day-to-day activities. Watching the business grow from strength-to-strength year upon year is very rewarding and I am proud to be part of it.’
Ash loves working outside and has worked in both the building and landscaping industry for many years, Darren and Kelly were very excited to welcome him to the team.
Ash has a hobby which is called, Airsoft. Ash says, 'it is basically me running around with toy guns shooting at other big kids also running around with with toy guns' :-).
Having lived in and around Banbury his whole life, he knows his way around the Cotswolds and when he joined Darren Watt Landscaping, they knew that he was going to be a great addition to the team.
